I went junkin’ the other day and picked up this super radical clown with a black eye print! He’s about as punk rock as it gets! Created by artist/illustrator Cydney Grossman (what a great name!). Unsure of the exact date, I’m guessing 60s, or 70s? Grossman is an American (native to New York) artist known for clowns (almost all of which are creeptastic!), Ballerinas, and people in general. He worked mainly in oils and pastels for most of his compositions.
That bright orange spiky hair, the “yea so what” look on his face, and of course the black eye! Punk Rock is my fav music, and I can just about hear the Dead Kennedys when I look at this print!
I had been shopping around the models today and found this new take on an old tank…
It’s a snap-together kit from the Revell model company, I thought it looked like “tons of fun”! Sorry!
They even had this very imaginative description on the back of the package…
If you are looking for a challenging model this is not it, however, if you want something to put together easily, and have a fun new toy then this is your Sherman!
To say that it didn’t make me think of the comic book Tank Girl, would be a lie!
