Quick grawins for folks….

A couple of quick projects!

This one is for a friend….

And another for someone’s mini comic….

The second one above is the scanned and cleaned up version. I hope to see the mini comic someday!

HeroesCon in Charlotte NC is only a day away!

Here are a couple of completed items I’ll have for the show…..

Those are my new “murder burger” t-shirts! ‘Cause, you know, when you have a tasty burger…….you kinda wanna kill it! They are ketchup on mustard and mustard on ketchup! Limited print run, sort of testing them out.

This is the final design from the last post. I decided to go with it as mug art work. BTW…..I don’t really “wolf” my coffee, but you get the idea….right?!

Finally……I’m on the guest list! L👀k,  I’m at the top of the list (due to alphabetical order, but still!)!

Come see me at the show! I’ll be tabling at AA-1223.

New work for debut at HeroesCon Charlotte NC!

Here are a couple of new things I’m kicking around…….

These aren’t finished. I need to play around with ’em a bit more. But maybe a sticker and coffee mug design?

Star Wars! Nothing but Star Wars!

So, like more than half of the planet, last week I bought my Blu-Ray copy of Star Wars the Force Awakens.

Also grabbed a toy of the First Orders Troop Transport ship as you can see in the above picture.

The ripple effect that Star Wars has on pop culture can be seen in these knock-off toys I found at a local “dollar store”!

Wow! Stuff like that is a RIOT to me!

While I’m about some Star Wars business here are some Force Awakens action figure pictures for your enjoyment….

Captain Phasma and a Tie Fighter Pilot from a different Star Wars toy line (Star Wars: Rebels)

Above is the droid PZ-4CO with some bounty hunters and another figure from SW Rebels.

The picture above is of (from left to right) Ello Asty, Poe Dameron, and the droid C1-10P or “Chopper” from SW Rebels. Interestingly Ello Asty is named after the Beastie Boys album Hello Nasty! Director J.J. Abrams has a love of Beastie Boys apparently!

Finally a picture of a cool version of “Snaggletooth”, as he used to be known, he’s Star Wars, but unrelated to the Force Awakens. Just for fun!

Not meatloaf, but still…

As an experiment I tried putting some peanut butter chips into banana bread. My thinking behind it was as a homage to Elvis……

The result, I call “King Bread”.

Here’s the recipe, if you’d like to try it….

King Bread Recipe

Prep time: 5 minutes, cook time: 1 hour

Add to shopping list the following…

3 to 5 over-ripe bananas (depends on the size of bananas), mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1 cup sugar (can easily reduce to 3/4 cup)

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 to 1 cup PB chips (this I have changed to just throwing in the whole 9 or 10 oz. bag, because WHY NOT! Lol!)

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour

No need for a mixer for this recipe. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). With a silicone spatula mix butter into the mashed bananas in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Add the flour and pb chips last, mix. Pour mixture into a buttered 4×8 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool on a rack. Remove from pan and slice to serve.

Yield: Makes one loaf.

I doubled the ingredients to make two loaves this last time.

Food is great! Have some fun!

Great weekend at SC ComicCon!

I had a wonderful time meeting all the fans and talking with old friends at SC ComicCon this passed weekend!

Here is a sheet of drawings I did for someone that was making buttons….

Hand drawn buttons, very cool idea!

Saw some friends that surprised me on Sunday with the shirts they bought on Saturday!

Thanks you two!

For fun here’s a picture from my drive home.

A terrific time! Can’t wait until next year!

SC ComicCon tomorrow, no fooling!!

New screen printed Ts process part 2.

Here we have one of the screens that I “burned” from the artwork from the last post…..

Basically a stencil. Using light sensitive photo emulsion, again the image is burned onto the screen.

Here are a few samples of the finished shirt…

All will be available for the first time at  SC ComicCon on April 2-3 in Greenville SC! Thanks for reading!
